Job description

Your role as Distribution Centre Manager 

  • Responsible for the adoption of cultural transformation of operational excellence with established continuous improvement/lean methodologies focusing on removal of loss while delivering on all aspects of Safety, Service, Cost, Environmental
  • Deliver the required change to the distribution culture with a priority on safety and improvement at all levels of the operation
  • Accountable for exceeding on time and in full target
  • Lead the improvement of employee engagement across the site operation
  • Accountable for the site P&L & budget ensuring that risks are fully mitigated, and opportunities are realised
  • Work with all stakeholders to ensure they remain connected to and confident in the service provision
  • Responsible for ensuring statutory compliance and governance including but not limited to O licence is always upheld.

As a Distribution Centre Manager you'll be responsible for the overall management, performance, and safety of the depot. Including overseeing daily operations, managing teams, ensuring customer satisfaction, KPIs and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. You'll drives continuous improvement initiatives and optimisation of processes to achieve operational excellence and you'll be responsible for the overall management, performance, and safety of the depot.

Qualifications

What you'll bring

  • Experienced in operational excellence/lean methodologies.
  • Project Management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong experience in a management role within logistics, supply chain or operations environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop a diverse team, with a strong focus on achieving results & engagement.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, financial management, and cost control.
