As we expand and refine the multiple Brands & Formats across Greene King, and as part of our ongoing Investment plan we are looking for a Cost Efficiency Manager to help navigate the business through the challenging financial climate over the next 12 months and beyond for a 24 month fixed term contract duration. The role is National and field based and will require a blend of time in our offices, in trade with Project Managers and Consultants, and visiting and negotiating with suppliers on a field basis.

Your role as a Cost Efficiency Manager:
As a self-motivated individual you will look for ways to manage, maximise and reduce the cost to invest across the Greene King portfolio.
You will have the ability to build relationships at pace, allowing to swiftly get into the detail of multiple project workstreams, understanding the key cost parameters, and identifying opportunities to explore to drive benefit through negotiation, economy of scale, Tender, and other efficiency areas.
Working internally with a team of Greene King Project Managers, Head’s of Property, Procurement Managers, Brand leads and Financial analysts, along with a wide range of external consultants, contractors and suppliers, you will gain an understanding of the Greene King way of working, and establish a route to drive down cost whilst maximising the benefit achieved for our customers from our investments.
What you’ll bring…
- Experience of working with, or in a fast-paced Investment portfolio business in Retail or Hospitality either as a Quantity Surveyor, Project Manager, or Financial Partner.
- You will also have an understanding of high level cost of goods, materials, and labour to allow immediate assessment and identification of opportunity to improve cost efficiency. Professional Property or Financial qualifications are of benefit but not a prerequisite.
