Our History:
The City of Quebec is the oldest LGBTQI pub in London and infact one of the world's oldest known gay bars. The City of Quebec opened its doors in 1946 after World War Two and was frequented by gay servicemen and crew from the Royal Air Force who were instrumental in defeating the Nazis; this very pub allowed these heroes to relax and be their true selves. Some of our regulars have been drinking in The City of Quebec when being gay was illegal and could end you up in prison. We are incredibly proud of our past and want to make sure the generations after us remember how important this venue is to London's LGBTQI community.
 

Our present:
We are an all day, all night venue; open 7 days a week from 11am and open until 3am at the weekends. We provide some of the best entertainment in the west end - karaoke, drag shows, djs and with more being added.

Our staff:
As Bar Staff, you’ll be key to creating unforgettable moments for customers, whether you’re pouring a pint or recommending the perfect drink to a customer after a long day, you’ll keep the good times flowing. You’ll be joining a fun and inclusive team, where you can grow and strengthen your skills and experience.

We are looking for people with a 'can do' attitude, who aren't afraid to get stuck in when it gets busy or stand and have a chat with our customers when it's not. Are you able to work on your own and use your own initiative to make sure the job gets done? This role would be ideal for someone who has the gift of the gab all the while being able to give excellent customer service time and time again.

As a member of our Bar Staff, you will…

• Provide customers with a heartfelt and memorable experience each and every time they visit
• Be the insider behind the bar, offering recommendations to customers
• Prepare and present drinks that meet specifications and customer expectations
• Assist in greeting, serving food and looking after our customers whilst they dine with us
• Make sure the bar is always safe, legal, and clean, and any issues are dealt with as quickly and safely as possible
