Job description
As a Assistant Management Accountant you will support the R2R Manager and colleagues in the R2R team and provide support to the Greene King divisions. The role holder will be responsible and accountable for their contribution to the production of accurate and timely management accounts, and the integrity of all balance sheet accounting on behalf of the Pub Partners division. At the heart of the role's purpose is ensuring FSS teams achieve internal and external audit compliance and deliver excellent service to all stakeholders.

Your role as Assistant Management Accountant
- Perform month end accounting processes, ensuring the accuracy, integrity and completeness of financial information including a variance analysis.
- Calculating accruals, prepayment and recharges.
- Preparing cost analysis and presenting high-quality reports to help influence spending in the Divisions, including information and commentary to provide insights to enable the business to make effective strategic and operational decisions.
- Prepare meaningful balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring that all balances are supported and ensure that no un-actioned differences remain within any balance sheet control accounts for more than one quarter. Assisting in driving actions to correct processes and balances.
- Provide timely responses to queries received relating to month end processes and P&L numbers to Finance & Ops teams.
- Deliver excellent customer service to internal customers, ensuring that high quality financial information is provided to decision makers.
- Support the end-to-end review of processes by suggesting ideas for improvements that could benefit reconciliations through enhancing systems and processes including constantly review ways of working and processes for accuracy and efficiency.
- Support the external audit process and provide responses to any related queries to ensure the audit process is conducted smoothly and accurately.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of source data, and the structure and use of financial information from core systems which feeds into the financial statements.
- Assist with any operational or accounting projects initiatives as required and carry out ad-hoc analysis to deliver key operational/management information to differing audiences to help support decision making.
What you’ll bring…
- Strong knowledge of month end accounting processes.
- Experience in calculating accruals, prepayment and recharges.
- Ability to prepare and present high-quality financial reports.
- Proficiency in preparing balance sheet reconciliations.
- Excellent customer service skills.
