As Finance Analyst for our Greene King Pubs division this really is a fantastic opportunity for a part qualified Finance professional. You will be working closely alongside our Finance Business Partners within a fast-moving role which will be a great mix between reporting and analysis as well as face to face business partnering as you get an opportunity to get out and visit our various sites.
This role can be based from either our Bury St Edmunds offices or our Burton site, hybrid working so 50% of your week will be based remotely from home and the other 50% of your week can be from our offices or visiting one of the Greene King pubs.

Job Description
Your role as a Finance Analyst...
The Finance Analyst role is key to ensuring that financial returns are maximised, and control is maintained, whilst we transform the business. With this will come a wide range of responsibilities and significant opportunities for development.
This is an exciting role with the opportunity to help shape Greene King pubs. The role plays a key role supporting the Finance Business Partner with sales driving, capital expenditure evaluation, labour management, margin management & cost control.
As Finance Analyst your role will be very varied and may change with the requirements of a fast moving and growing managed pub business, principal responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Greene King Pubs Business Partner team to deliver business targets, budgets and forecasts.
- Provide business performance analysis, propose business solutions and drive great conversations with our pub teams.
- Understand sales and cost control, with the aim of helping to deliver the Divisional P&L targets.
- Direct & Influence Operational Team in identifying opportunities and driving results.
- Reviewing and interrogating Project justifications during the Capex Investment appraisal process, with recommendations for improvements as well as opportunities/threats highlighted. Ability to present the data.
- Timely and insightful analysis with recommendations to key customers, ensuring informed business decisions are made.
- Review period accounts and take ownership of a Divisional P&L
- Creation of P&L budgets / forecasts as required.
What you'll bring...
- Part/newly/qualified accountant
- Excel competent.
- Experience with Cognos would be advantageous.
- Previous experience in period end reviews
