Company Description

As our Charity Partnerships Manager you will take a leading role in supporting the community & sustainability programmes within the Group ESG & Sustainability team. With Greene King’s ambition to create a leading ESG programme amongst UK businesses, the role will manage the relationship with our official charity partner (Macmillan Cancer Support) as well as other charity relationships on a day to day basis to enhance Greene King’s social purpose.

Job Description

In your role as Charity Partnerships Manager you will:

  • Develop, manage and deliver annual charity partnership programme including day to day relationship with Macmillan Cancer Support partnership team
  • Communicate programme and be Greene King ambassador for Macmillan Cancer Support
  • Engage with internal stakeholders including divisional MDs, marketing & operational colleagues to establish targets and deliver objectives
  • Work with internal communications, external communications and operational  communications to communicate objectives of the programme and actions required of stakeholders
  • Develop and manage partnership with Pennies to drive charitable donations through its platform for GK charity partner
  • Ensure accurate and impactful reporting of the partnership progression
  • Explore new concepts and innovation for the partnership producing business case for each and presenting to the exec board and senior stakeholders

What you'll bring...

  • Significant experience of managing corporate charity partnership(s)
  • Experience of managing and delivering expectations of multiple stakeholders
  • Understanding of UK ESG environment and how our ESG strategy aligns with the company activity and its values
  • Strong written and oral English language skills - able to write clearly, effectively and succinctly and able to transform technical content into understandable, concise copy
  • Solid understanding of computer software platforms (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • You’re a self-starter with a high energy level and a good problem solver with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally
  • A team player, able to work with professionals from different disciplines and cultural backgrounds, while being capable to operate independently
  • Ability to influence and catalyse change through the application of exceptional interpersonal, relationship building and collaboration skills
  • Strong sense of social purpose driven values and empathy, being an advocate for purpose led change with a commercial, creative, and pragmatic thinking
  • Strong project management skillset and excellent attention to detail
