Platform 5 is a busy bar in the Haymarket area of Edinburgh's West End.
Opening first thing in the morning until late, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The business is over 2 floors with a seated capacity of over 220. Our premium/urban menu offers all the pub classics as well as some Scottish favorites.
As a Kitchen Manager, you’ll make making sure everything in the kitchen runs smoothly during a busy service. You’ll know how to get the best out of your team by encouraging and supporting them to work well together, ensuring every dish served is of the highest standards.
We are looking for an experienced individual with a strong grasp of kitchen knowledge, they must have a strong work ethic and have the ability to run a team under high pressure situations.
Individual must be more than comfortable in working in a team, as well as on their own.
Job responsibilities include, stock ordering and management, shift delegation, cleaning standards to the highest possible level and team training and progression

Take the reins in the kitchen, whether you are making decisions or coming up with fresh ways to help the team run better together.
Communicate clearly with your team in order to provide high-quality meals to customers on time.
Recognise and lead the team as a whole, understanding how to maximise their potential.
Maintain hygiene levels and safety regulations in the kitchen to help to guarantee the care of your entire team and visitors.
