The St Margarets Tavern is a busy gastro pub at the heart of the local community. We serve freshly prepared, seasonal dishes to a discerning local clientele as well as catering for large crowds on rugby days as we're just a stones throw from Twickenham stadium. We also have a large outdoor terrace making the Tavern a real hot spot for fine dining either inside in our large indoor restaurant or outside in our colourful and vibrant garden.


We are looking for an amazing Assistant Manager that's friendly, eager and must have the drive to deliver a great experience for our wonderful guests. You'll need to a passion for food, drinks and team development and want the drive your own personal development and we can help with this. You will be hands on and work alongside our team ensure The St Margaret's Tavern delivers an amazing guest experience.
As an Assistant General Manager, you'll work with the General Manager to run the pub, hire, train and develop the team, plan events and take charge of everything when the General Managers away. You've already worked as an assistant manager in a busy pub for at least a year, and we're keen to know what you've learnt.
But it's more than that.
We're much more interested in who you are and what you're really like. What are you like to work with? How do you rally a team? Are you calm when things don't go to plan? What makes you laugh? We want to get to know you and your way of doing things. And find out how you can bring them to The City Barge as an Junior Assistant Manager.
