Communications Executive

Role Purpose

The Communications Executive for Pub Partners will proactively promote the division externally through a range of channels, respond reactively to address any reputational issues, and play a leading role in developing strong central communications with tenants and pubs. The job role also includes playing an active role on Greene King's 24/7 press office and supporting the external communications team in handling a range of media enquiries across the wider company.

Key Accountabilities
*Seeking out proactive announcements and news stories relating to the Pub Partners division
*Writing compelling case studies about tenants for promotion both across the Pub Partners estate and to the wider industry
*Providing copy for Pub Partners social media channels as well as any in-house publications
*Helping with written responses to resolve complaints that are brought to the attention of Pub Partners, whether a complaint by a member of the public or a complaint from a tenant
*Keeping an eye on opportunities to enter tenants and the division into awards, such as Great British Pub Awards, Publican Awards, BII Licensee of the Year awards
*Be an active member of the Greene King Press Office team, which includes handling enquiries during the working day and producing the daily news summary and occasional out of hours cover on a rota basis
*Help resolve and provide reactive press statements for a range of media enquiries across Greene King
*Support the Corporate Communications Manager on specific matters related to the leased and tenanted industry including the Pubs Code
*Take the lead in developing a forward-looking communications plan for Pub Partners that ties in with the division's long-term strategy and goals.

About you

*Able to manage workload with multiple issues/requests at any one time
*Strong writing skills, attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to adapt messaging according to the audience
*Able to influence and articulate to gain best result
*Digitally savvy with a solid understanding of how to maximise social media and video content
*Good at storytelling, creative and innovative
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Ability to prioritise and respond quickly to developing situations
*An instinct for a story and a genuine interest in news and current affairs
