Digital and eCommerce Specialist - 6 month FTC

We are the country's leading pub retailer and brewer, running over 3,000 pubs, restaurants and hotels in towns, villages and city-centre high streets across England, Wales and Scotland.

The role

The role is responsible for maintaining our websites and developing and delivering digital campaigns, it involves working closely with the Brand teams such as Hungry Horse and Chef & Brewer and the wider Digital team (CRM & Social) to ensure brand activity is delivered effectively across our digital channels. Responsible for the updating and the continuous enhancement of the Greene King branded websites, including user journey, content, booking, conversion and SEO.
Alongside this, the role involves supporting digital projects to transform the way our guests interact with the brands digitally.
Depending on the candidate this could be either a Specialist or an Administrator role

Core Responsibilities:
* Support the management and maintenance of Brand Websites
* Ensuring all web content / copy is accurate and up to date via Umbraco CMS
* Creating relevant filters within the CMS to create dynamic web content
* Managing the digital pub data in Heart which populates the websites
* Overseeing Brand Swaps within Heart and Corporate site including closure dates, content filters, EPOS & Online booking changes
* Raising issues and development requests to enhance the platform
* Website testing for new developments
* General website maintenance - redirects, 404's, bug fixes, housekeeping, etc.
* Set up, action and report feedback from HotJar
* Managing A/B Testing to optimise performance
* Analysing and constantly evolving and improving the guest journey
* Resolving any queries from Guest Relations and Pubs
* Raising PO's and updating the budget tracker

Digital Campaign & Brand Management:

* Be the campaign lead and have responsibility for timelines, ensuring we have assets, flagging deadlines and highlighting the impact on the rest of the Digital team.
* Take a lead in the Digital Campaign Planning Sessions
* Coordinating campaign briefs and planning sessions with external agencies using tools such as Digital Campaign Briefs & Monday.com
* Be a specialist of the online campaigns
* Analysing and reporting on campaign performance using Google Analytics to provide learnings and recommendations to brand to enhance future campaigns
* Working with brand and other departments to ensure campaigns are activated effectively across digital channels
* Ensuring campaigns are compliant with current legislation
* Enhancing brand awareness & brand proposition digitally
* Creating the Period Brand Review Slides
* Creating and owning the online merchandising calendar
* Conducting competitor reviews and analysing non-industry best in class

Improving our Organic Search Performance:

* Ensuring the website, pages and content are following SEO best practice e.g. using meta and alt tags
* Seeking out new keyword opportunities to increase traffic
* Monitoring & creation of SEO reports
* Using SEO tools such as Moz and Screaming Frog
* Schema Mark Up event implementation

Management & Administration Online Booking System:
* Administration of the online table booking system; setting up menus, menu matrixes, deposits and emails
* Working closely with IT to set up new pubs and brand swaps

Management of Digital Menus:
* Working with the designers, tills and brand to ensure all digital assets and data is available for menu launches
* Uploading of menu pdf's and allergen information

Experience:
* Experienced in content managing websites using a CMS - Umbraco experience (preferred but not essential)
* Experienced in creating, activating and ownership of digital campaigns
* Good understanding of SEO principles and best practice
* Commercially minded to successfully merchandise brand websites effectively
* Knowledge of tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Optimise and HotJar
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel
